Downtown Fayette is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a MoDOT TAP Grant totaling $156,000.

Fayette Main Street received a generous donation from BTC Bank of Fayette for the upcoming Fayette Live Music Street Dance. The donation from BTC Bank will facilitate the purchase of 2000 ft. of string lights with 10 moveable poles and bases for the upcoming dance, and all community events in the downtown district.

Fayette Main Street has scheduled a Summer Street Dance with live music and dancing provided by beloved cover band 54 Country. Come dance the night away in downtown Fayette and help raise funds for beautification projects in the downtown.

I had never known or heard of Juneteenth until 2000. What I had heard of before was Emancipation or Freedom Day. In July 2020, we were appointed a new pastor at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Rev. Cheryll Doughty. She inquired if we had just celebrated Juneteenth. All members looked at her to say “what is that.“ from that point forward, was the mission of the church to establish a Juneteenth Celebration here in Fayette.
